PHI No.006 (What is evil about that?)
Phew, it’s been awhile…
Me and D had a brunch today when he told me some news. One of the news that really caught my attention was about a well known computer and stuff company was being called evil. D said, the company was evil. I asked why, D answered that when this company is about to release their new technology and stuff they would make their employees work so hard, even on weekends and holidays, and they are not allowed to tell, even their family, about what they’re doing on. I asked D again, how is that being called evil, what is evil about that.
D: “Because they can’t do that, the company.”
Me: “Why? all the employees got their payment, don’t they? so what’s evil about that?”
D: “Yes, but the company should not forbid their employee about telling things to their family”
Me: “Why? It’s their privilege, their property. It’s only natural that they want to keep it safe from whosoever they consider doesn’t worth the knowledge. What’s evil about that?”
D: “Yes, but it’s against humanity… They just should not do that”
Me: “There’s no such thing, humanity. They, those person who are the brain and soul of the company, I believe they pay the hard work of their employee with what you call salary and they pay their own hard work with what you call evil, it is a full right of their own property, they owe no one about it, about sharing it with the world . That’s all. For me, there is no evil in that.”
